Worshiping Together

A Family Integrated Church

Just what does that mean? At a basic level, we eliminate age-segregated structures so families worship and learn together.

Children typically attend all of the corporate worship gatherings with their parents rather than attending a separate children’s ministry. We do, however, have a nursing mother’s room so mothers with small infants can hear the services while nursing, and a sleeping nursery to put babies down for a nap.

If you have a young toddler who simply cannot sit still — and it’s too much work for you to worship — we have young ladies in the church who volunteer to help on an as-needed basis. We also have a separate building with child-friendly seating where age-appropriate Bible lessons can be taught. Let us know if you’d like this help for your young child; it’s always offered, never required.

Our church emphasizes that parents are responsible for discipling their children, and we believe that strong fathers make for strong families. We have also been blessed with a number of women without husbands, and we gladly support them in their role to lead their children to follow Christ. Our church is an extension of your family — most of us think of it as extended family rather than an organization across town.

We exemplify multigenerational ministry, with grandparents, parents, and children all serving the Lord and the church together. Our facility is small, so it’s easy to feel close to others quickly. Yet from this small church we have planted Cantonese, Mandarin, and Hispanic congregations that have since grown into their own churches, and we now host two Telugu and one Tamil congregation reaching the Indian community around us. We believe part of our mission is to plant other churches.

Our preaching is usually expository — we study through books of the Bible together, believing that is often the best discipleship tool from the pulpit.
